| Vaccinate Ewes
| All the breeding ewes are brought in and injected with Heptavac-P, which immunises the unborn lambs against many diseases, and Swaycop, which boosts the levels of copper in the Ewe. Lochdhu is in a copper deficient area and the lambs can develop a disease of the spine, called Swayback, if their mothers do not have enough copper in their system. It is also important not to give them too much as Copper can also be poisonous. |
